Wednesday Meditation Drop-In (Weekly)
This is an open meditation gathering that is offered at no charge – donations are accepted but there is no obligation. We invite anyone who wishes to gather in a group meditation setting to come and participate. There is no set form, style, pattern, or philosophy that is imposed. Once the group gathers, a decision is made as to what type of activity will occur. In some cases the previous week’s group sets some goals for the next week’s session. This is not a meditation class, it is for people who already have some meditation experience and simply want to gather in a place conducive to practice. People interested in learning to meditate should see our website listings for classes.
The Drop-In starts at 6:00 PM and goes to 7:00 PM. Please arrive promptly so as not to disturb the session. Bring comfortable clothes and whatever personal meditation gear you desire. We have a limited amount of cushions, seats, eye pillows, and blankets. Complimentary reverse osmosis water and tea is available. This is an accepting, and non-judgmental gathering of open minded people who have a desire to share in the group power of meditation. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call. We look forward to seeing you.
Thursday Gathering
We have been asked to host several types of activities at the Center and Thursday night is being set aside for that purpose. Shortly we will have something posted here to outline what those activities will be. Two items are currently being looked at: 1) a Reiki Share and 2) a movie night that will be a showing of some kind of human potential / spiritual / growth & development related topic. We have access to the Spiritual Cinema DVD series but anything is a possibility.
We want to be clear that the events hosted at the Center are not particular to a specific religious view point or denomination. Our goal is to provide a setting where people can gather to learn about, participate in, and experiment with issues and aspects of enhancing their human potential. If you are interested in either of these two offerings or have other ideas that you would like to suggest, please feel free to contact us. These activities would be hosted at no charge, donations are accepted to defray costs, but there is no obligation.
